It is common knowledge that the heart is the focal point of the body. So much so that the Romans and Greeks considered it the center of emotions as well, giving rise to the plethora of heart-shaped valentine-related items. The fact that pollution and stress are both on the rise doesn’t help either, as the heart is one of the most sensitive organs, easily and dramatically affected by the general health of the body and the health of its surroundings.
As a result, the heart receives additional protection from the body on a general basis. Furthermore, the heart is so important that the body sends out warning signs for you to notice when there is a problem.
Here are five indicators that your heart is in poor condition and that you should take better care of it. Almost all of these indicators are extremely common, but we often ignore them for the same reason.
1.EXTREME FATIGUE WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL WORKOUTS
This is something that most young professionals face, and it could be caused by a variety of factors. A poor diet, irregular sleep cycles, an excessive workload, and unhealthy habits such as smoking and drinking to ‘take the edge off’ are among them. All of these factors influence metabolism, which in turn influences heart activity and health.
2.CRAMPS ON THE CHEST
Chest discomfort is one of the most common symptoms of heart disease and should not be dismissed as the result of poor posture or something similar. They may indicate artery blockages and may be present in severe cases of angina pectoris and other conditions.
If you have these symptoms on a regular basis, it is time to see a doctor, regardless of how many sick days you have to take.
3.PAIN IN THE UPPER BODY
Upper-body pain, such as jaw cramps and migraines, is an indication that the heart is not pumping enough blood throughout the body. Clogged arteries caused by poor diets and smoking habits will only worsen these conditions.
4.SNORING AND SLEEP APNOEA
Shortness of breath, which frequently occurs with sleep apnoea, is an indication of insufficient oxygenation in the body. If this continues for an extended period of time, it should be cause for concern.
5.GENERAL BREATHING SHORTNESS
Regardless of the organ, this should be taken very seriously. Shortness of breath is frequently a symptom of underlying problems such as asthma or cardiac issues such as arteries becoming clogged or losing elasticity.
If you have any or all of these symptoms, see a doctor and begin changing your habits. It is well past time!
